The raw material used
to fabricate the Fire Extinguisher conforms to IS Specifications.
Dry Chemical Powder Type
Fire Extinguisher is effective for BC and electrical fires.
It can be used on fires involving flammable liquids such as
Petrol, Paraffin, Oil, Varnishes, Paints, Spirits and Solvents
as also on gaseous ores like LPG and Acetylene. Because of
its non-conductivity, it is ideally suited for electrical
fires (Mixed occupancies) as well operated these extinguishers
expel the Dry Chemical Powder which can be directed on to
quench it instantly.
These Fire Extinguishers
have greater fire killing properties and can be easily operated
and allow free flow of chemical powder.

Each Cylinder is subjected
to rigorous leakage test.
The correctly designed
Syphon tube of the cylinder ensures the highest discharge
mostly between 99% to 100%.
Each Cylinder is
painted by applying one coat of surfacer followed by two thin
coats of Branded Paint to 80 – 100 microns.

ABC Stored Pressure
Type Fire Extinguisher
|
When
fire starts, so does confusion, it often becomes difficult
to pick the right kind of extinguisher for the different types
of fire. Precious time is lost. Wrong use of Extinguishers
can be sometimes fatal and the very purpose of fighting a
fire is lost.
Alert introduces non-conductive
ABC type of fire Extinguisher, which is a powerful fire killer
to fight A + b + C + Electrically started fire + D (Optional).
The
powder (Extinguishant of ABC)
Siliconised mono ammonium phosphate is the main Extinguishant.
It is manufactured as per IS: 14609 with controlled apparent
density, particle size distribution and is water repellent.
It under goes heat test, fire knock down test etc. Mono ammonium
phosphate is the costliest and most effective ingredient in
the powder.

Water Type Fire Extinguisher

Water (Soda Acid) upright and inverted and Water CO2 type
fire extinguishers are assigned for use against out-breaks
of fire where general materials such as wood, paper, fabric
etc. (Class ‘A’ Fire) are involved. Speedy in
action and easy to use, the Alert fire extinguishers have
greater fire killing power. When operated, these extinguishers
expel a jet of water, which can be directed on to the fire
to quench it instantly.
The Soda Acid hand
portable models, both upright and inverted types, of 9 ltrs.
Capacity conforms to IS: 934. The water CO2 type conforms
to IS: 940.

Foam Type Fire Extinguisher

Manual Call Point is a manually operated

enclosure and are provided with a harmer to break the glass

| Ionization Smoke detectors
are suitable for a wide range of industrial, commercial and
residential applications and operate on the principle of Ionisation.
On entry of smoke into the "Open Chamber" of the
detector, the resistance caused is measured and transmitted
to the Control Panel, which in turn, initiates a Fire alarm.

The electronic hooter
/ speaker is housed in a sturdy M.S. enclosure, capable of
producing dual tone (fire alarm). These hooters can also be
connected to an amplifier for public address as well. Operates
on 24 V.D.C. and can be surface or flush mounted. |

PHOTOELECTRIC SMOKE DETECTOR (OPTIONAL)

RESPONSE INDICATOR

| Photo-electric detectors
operate on the light scattering effect. A light source is
beamed into an area not normally seen by a photo sensitive
element. These detectors are preferred where large particulars
of combustion are to be detected. |
The Response Indicator, also known
as the Remote Response Indicator, as the name suggests, is
to visually indicate response of a Detector, located in remote
(hidden) areas, such as above the false ceiling, below the
false floor and inside rooms which are normally kept closed
or are looked after office hours. |

Single Headed Hydrant Valve

| Single headed Gun Metal
Hydrant valve with flanged inlet, stop valve, spindle and
cast iron hand wheel. It has a female instantaneous outlet
with Blank Cap and is Hydrostatically tested to 21 Kgf/cm2
pressure having a flow rate of 900 LPM at 7 Kgf/cm2 of pressure.
It is generally used for external and internal installations.
This conforms to IS:5290. |
Double headed Gun Metal hydrant valve
with flanged inlet, 2 Nos. stop valve, spindles and Cast Iron
hand wheels and 2 Nos. female outlets with Blank caps. It
is Hydrostatically tested to 21 Kgf/cm2 pressure and has a
flow rate of 1800 LPM at 7 Kgf/cm2 of pressure. It is generally
used as an internal hydrant in High Rise Buildings and as
an external hydrant for refineries. This conforms to IS:2190
type 'B'. |

Hose Coupling

| Hose coupling are made of Gun Metal.
These couplings are instantaneous type and are wound with
Copper / G.I wire at either ends of the delivery hose. These
couplings are available in 28 mm dia., 50 mm dia. and 63 mm
dia. as per IS:903/93, standard item being of 63 mm dia. |
It is a tapered Gun Metal nozzle having
63 mm dia. instanteneous type male inlet and on the other
side a hexagonal nozzle of 20 mm dia. Bore which gives a jet
of water. The branch pipe conforms to IS:903/93 |

Hose Cabinet |

Fire Brigade Inlet Connection

| Hose Cabinet is fabricated
out of MS sheet metal having glass fronted twin doors with
locking arrangement and having a built-in key box. The cabinet
is suitable to house 2 Nos. of houses and a branch pipe. The
cabinet is painted with P.O. Red outside and white paint inside. |
Fire Brigade inlet connection
consists of 2 or 4 numbers of built-in Non Return Valves fixed
on a manifold and fabricated MS pipe. Manifold is connected
to the underground hydrant mains as well as to the sump with
isolation valve and housed in a MS cabinet and painted with
P.O red paint. |

First Aid Hose Reel

| First aid hose reel is made out of
MS sheet, consisting of Hose guide on which Rubber hose of
19 mm dia, of required length is kept wound. It has a swinging
type motion which allows a 180° swing and conforms to
IS:884/85 |
This is a flexible pipe which is bound
on one side with male and on the other side with femal instanteneous
type Gyn Metal coupling pair. Hoses are available in lengths
of 7.5 mtrs length and the same can be supplied in the conventional
"Flax" canvas type, impregnated rubber to control
percolation type or the hose with a special 8 layer latex
tube inside and a specially quoted synthetic hjacket outside. |

Super Jet Water Monitor

Air Cushion Tank

| Super jet water monitor
is specially designed for fixing on hudrant stand posts or
on a specially built trolley in case of protable units. Monitor
rotates 360° and elevates between +150° to -20°
with flow rate upto 2700 LPM at 7 Kgf/cm2. Conforms to IS:8442.
Generally water monitors are used in Oil Jetties, Oil Refineries
and Chemical Plants etc. |
Air Cushion tank is cylindrical in
shape and the same is fixed on top of the piping system and
painted P.O red. It is fabricated of MS sheet of 4 mm thickness
having dished ends on either sides. Bottom end has 25 mm dia.
inlet connection with gate valve and the top end has a Gun
Metal spring loaded Air release valve to facilitate release
of pressure. |
